ABOUT

Springsteen meets indie-rock.

Sam Foster Smith is an indie-rock artist from Somerset UK. Now based in London, his music stays true to his roots in the South West - blending an easy listening coastline vibe with a penchant for festival-ready anthems, it’s Boardmasters in a bottle.

Sam only released his debut single ‘Hotel Room’ at the start of December 2024 but he has quickly established himself as an artist you need to watch this year, selling out The Water Rats on his debut show before heading out the week after to support The K’s at their sold out Studio 24 show. Able to comfortably step up to bigger stages, he has swiftly earned himself a reputation as an electric live act, up there with much more established artists!

His subsequent singles ‘I Choose You’ and ‘The Good Life’ have quickly racked up over 25K streams in 2025 already and landed feature spots on the likes of BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio (UK and USA), GigSlutz, and Future Hits Radio, as well as garnering support from local and national news outlets, notably being named as one of This Feeling’s ‘Best New Bands’.

For fans of Sam Fender, The Killers, The K’s, Gang of Youths, and The Sherlocks, Sam’s sound has been developed over years on the circuit as a session guitarist and leans into the crowd-igniting melodies and euphoric sing-along sections that he learned from the best, playing on stages at the likes of The Isle of Wight Festival, Ynot Festival, and Victorious Festival. If you’ve been to one of Sam’s shows this really shines through - he never leaves the stage without the sound of the crowd chanting his melodies ringing in everyone's ears.

‘Hotel Room’, ‘I Choose You’ and ‘The Good Life’ are the first singles from Sam’s debut EP recorded at The Lounge Studios and produced by Gareth Nuttall (The Ks, Lottery Winners, Andrew Cushin, The Rolling People, Dirty Blonde).
